Expo 2008 is planned to run from 14th June to 14th September.
The university city of Zaragoza in Spain, with the River Ebro running through, has been chosen for this exciting event.
(The last Spanish venue was Seville, which hosted a magnificent Expo 1992)
Zaragoza is in North Central Spain in the Aragon Region and is Spain's 5th largest city and the birthplace of the famous painter Goya.
As well as an airport Zaragoza is on the AVE high speed train route. It is easily reached by road, rail and air.
The prevailing theme throughout Expo 2008 will be water and sustainable development, themes constantly on the minds of those inhabiting Spain as well as the world at large.
The logo being a drop of water. Eco is the name of the game in Zaragoza. One of the main features will be a pavilion straddling the Riber Ebro.
It is expected that some of the countries will have the famous rivers of the world as their theme, with pavilions as well being dedicated to Islands & Coast, Oasis, Ice and Snow, Forests, Mountains etc.
